MESHing is a plugin integrated into SAP2000® and CSiBridge® for advanced 2D mesh generation, powered by the Gmsh© engine.

Given a selection of area, frame, and joint objects, users can specify the target element size, triangulation algorithm, triangle-to-quadrilateral recombination method, and final geometry optimization procedure.

Intersections between selected objects are handled automatically, ensuring mesh compatibility along shared boundaries. Additional features include automatic generation of circular holes in plates, creation of openings within closed contours, and preservation of the original symmetry whenever possible. Once mesh generation is complete, users can review the results and choose whether to apply the changes or revert to the original geometry. If necessary, they can run the process again with different settings. A backup copy of the model is automatically created each time the mesh is regenerated. MESHing is available free of charge and is compatible with SAP2000® and CSiBridge® version 27.1.0 and later.
